during the 2003/4 winter camp against the wall, deir ballut villagers joined with international and israeli activists in marching to the village roadblock in an action against the wall. this occurred just a few days after a woman pregnant with twins and going into labor was prevented from crossing the checkpoint to get to a hospital at night because soldiers insisted that it was closed. both babies died.
